I started this norweigan “Olle” a couple of years ago. I didn’t use the correct size yarn for it, no I used yarn that my aunt had when she was machineknitting – very thin. The sad story is, that its all acrylic (Ithink) = yuck. I can’t understand why I even started on such a timeeating sweater with that kind of material…eeeww Oh well I will finishe it, how discusting the material mght be. It won’t end up as a sweater though, it will be a vest. There might be someone that likes it, that aren’t that picky. I will, however, give it a shot using it, cause I love the colors in it. Oh well lesson is learned – only to use natural fibers in yarn!

About me and knitting
November 11, 2006 at 10:11 am (Knitting)
I’ve been knitting since… oh forever I guess. But I have never felt passion for knitting, until recently when I met a woman at school who are so very passionate about knitting, and teaches knitting at university in Gothemburg. It’s vertually impossible NOT to be inspired by that passion.
So I started knitting again, and I am beginning to understand that there is so much more to knitting than just following a pattern and finishing a sweater. There’s works of art out there, and I’d like to be a part of that!
I just have to finish those long kneesocks in alpacka for my neighbour, the felted slippers to my sister, the lace jumper I planned and a shawl in that green woolyarn I bought on a trip 2 weeks ago… Then I will start to knit artsy too
Knitted and felted hat

I have to show you this easy, fun and really comfortable hat that I just finished. It was really fun knitting with non-spun yarn, and it its always exciting to see what happens in the washingmashine! I formed it to have the shape of 1920s, it looks really good on. Now I’m just waiting for the snow to get here.
